Associate Laboratory Instrumentation Sales Consultant

Overview

The Associate Laboratory Instrumentation Sales Consultant is responsible for prospecting, qualifying and generating new sales leads to support our sales team. This individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including outbound calls, inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, discovery, individual research and setting up targeted email campaigns. A dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential. Success in this role could lead to a sales position at GMI. This role reports to the National Sales Manager.

Roles, Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Develop new business via telephone and mass communication such as email and social media to introduce the GMI solutions within the target market.
  • Work with our veteran sales team to develop targeted telesales and email campaigns within their territories.
  • Manage data for new and prospective clients in our CRM platform, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate and documents are attached.
  • Prepare and analyze sales pipeline reports and dashboards.
  • Work with our marketing team to improve traffic and lead generation from our website.
  • Gain knowledge related to the products and services GMI offers
  • Establish a working knowledge of GMI’s instrumentation offering to develop into a Laboratory Instrumentation Sales Consultant.

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Science or related field
  • 1-3 year's telemarketing and/or inside sales experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed determined activity quotas.
  • A proven track record of strong client relationships.
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Technical Experience

  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite or another CRM Software preferred.

In-House Service Engineer

GMI, the leading reseller of used lab equipment, is currently looking for a Service Engineer for an immediate opening. The successful candidate will be a problem solver and bring a 'can-do' attitude to the workplace on a daily basis.

We're looking for a candidate that has the following skills sets:

  • Strong electronics background.
  • Scientific instrumentation repair including HPLC, GC, spectrophotometers, plate readers, centrifuges.

GMI offers a casual work environment with a great team of people. Our standard business hours are Monday -- Friday, 8:00am -- 5:00pm. This position is on site in our facility; some field service travel is required. Outside Sales Representative

We're looking for Outside Sales Representatives in the markets listed above with a minimum of three (3) years outside laboratory equipment sales experience who are ready to make a long term commitment to our mission.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum three (3) years of outside laboratory equipment sales experience in 
    one of the Regions listed verifiably exceeding quota.
  • A documentable and proven track record within the industry is required.
  • Extensive customer contacts & established relationships in the region.
  • Strong willingness and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage sales workflows in a CRM.
  • Goal-oriented and driven by consistently exceeding quotas and earning commissions & performance bonuses.
  • Ability to identify challenges and create solutions to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Enthusiasm, drive, & passion for challenge.
  • Strong personal mastery, sense of achievement, & desire to own the immediate opportunity.
