The Applied Biosystems (previously PerSeptive Biosystems) BioCAD® 700E Workstation for Perfusion and Chromatography® is a PC-based chromatography workstation that incorporates all features of biomolecule purification with Perfusion Chromatography technology.

The BioCAD 700E Workstation comes with a Microsoft® Windows®-based software that is intuitive and easy to use for developing and executing separations, both for analytical and preparative applications. Predefined templates are also available for a systematic method development of key variables such as pH, gradient slope, and sample load.

As a high-performance instrument, the BioCAD 700E delivers with full process capabilities including sample injection, fraction collection, automated column washing and regeneration. Using the POROS® media and columns, the system performs chromatographic separations in as little as one to three minutes.

Monitoring various parameters is made easy with the BioCAD 700E as it detects pH, conductivity, dual-wavelength UV/Vis absorbance, fluorescence (optional), and system pressure. The system also makes it possible to perform data analysis of single data files or groups of data files.

The versatile BioCAD 700E Workstation allows for multiple column configurations and injection mode options. The workstation can be equipped with the optional SCOUT® Column Selector for an automated multi-column switching device allowing flow to be diverted to any one of six attached columns.
